Sussex and Kent: The Legacy of Bloomsbury

June 8 - 13, 2025

6 days | 5 nights

Between London and the South coast is rolling chalk downland, home to some of the most romantic gardens in the world. In the early 20th century writers and artists from the legendary Bloomsbury Group retreated here.  Their fluid approach to integrating art and pattern throughout their homes and gardens inspired highly original designs such as we see at Charleston and Sissinghurt.  Other notable gardens are also included, along with galleries that offer a fresh perspective on Modern British art.

Yorkshire: Art and Landscape

dates to be announced
7 days | 6 nights

This tour takes us to the north of England where the lovely landscape of the Yorkshire Dales is filled with ruined abbeys, stately mansions and beautiful gardens. Three legendary British artists were born and raised here: Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth and David Hockney. Today Yorkshire is home to some of the most important collections of their work, and also a thriving nexus for contemporary art. We’ll enjoy a range of gardens, including private guided visits to rarely seen projects designed by Arne Maynard, Piet Oudolf, Dan Pearson and Tom Stuart-Smith.

We stay in a beautiful stately home on the grounds of a secluded estate, where the owners look after us in comfortable style.
